Counseling can be an intimidating and unique experience for each individual. Therefore taking the first steps toward change can be some of the hardest and yet most rewarding. Finding someone who can make you feel comfortable, listened to, and just be yourself with is a huge piece of that experience. I always consider it an honor to play a part in someone’s journey and strive to make the counseling experience a great one.
MY GOAL:
To build a trusting relationship where you feel heard, valued, and safe to share what is on your mind and in your heart. So that I can encourage, empower and motivate you to grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically
WHAT I OFFER:
I offer a friendly, non-judgmental space for people to share their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and struggles. I am high in empathy and compassion while at the same time not afraid to push and challenge people to accomplish their goals.
MY COUNSELING APPROACH:
My counseling approach is person-centered with an emphasis on evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also integrate spirituality with biblical truths into these approaches with respect to the individual’s beliefs. My ultimate desire is to provide a holistic approach to the client.
AREAS OF FOCUS:
Anxiety & Depression
Addictions/Substance Abuse
Grief & Loss
Trauma Recovery
Personal and Spiritual Development
Marriage/Couples Counseling
Teens
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
I have been married to my best friend for 20 years, have two teenage children, and a dog. I love reading, hanging out with friends around a good meal, and Philadelphia sports. I am originally from the east coast but love the people and pace of life in the midwest. I gained a passion for counseling because I experienced the benefits firsthand while going through my own struggles with substance abuse.
