Introduction:
Since 2019, I have been privileged to be part of the team at CCCBC. I feel strongly that we all could use some extra help on life’s journey. At times, that help comes in the form of having a therapist to walk with through certain life struggles. I have been on the other side of the chair in the therapeutic relationship and am so grateful for those that have walked with me during those more challenging times in life. It truly is my great honor to listen, guide and bring clarity to my clients. I have a very down-to-earth, honest approach and in turn, will provide a safe space for clients to share freely with no judgment. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
MY GOAL:
My desire is to help my clients move towards healing, hope and wholeness: emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
WHAT I OFFER TO YOU:
My training as a Clinical Licensed Master Social Worker
A non-judgmental, safe space to share your fears, thoughts, hopes and struggles
My professional counsel and objective insight
A collaborative relationship
An approach to each session based on a Christian perspective, respectfully presented
A variety of tools and resources to help you move and grow towards healing in between sessions
MY COUNSELING APPROACH:
My counseling approach is relational. I integrate several evidence-based therapeutic approaches based on clients’ issues and needs. I also use techniques such as talking, writing, mindfulness, reading, etc. I pray and thoughtfully consider each of my clients as individuals and what approach(s) would be best.
AREAS OF FOCUS:
Anxiety & Depression
Grief and Loss
Aging/Health
Adoption Issues
Life Transitions
Parenting
Interpersonal Communication
Separation/Divorce
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
In addition to working as a therapist for CCCBC, I also work full-time in a leadership position for a local nonprofit helping older adults and adults with disabilities to remain safe in the community. I have two adult sons who are blessings in my life. Although they are now grown and motherhood has changed, they continue to be a joy and have taught me much about life. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, walking, traveling, cooking, shopping and laughing as much as possible. I believe that joy can be found in life despite circumstances. My life looks different than I imagined it would, and in many ways, it is better than I could have imagined. I am incredibly grateful for my health and this life God has blessed me with and have a passion to help others experience and embrace their best life.
